Beagle, Milford H.: - Lieutenant General (Ret.) Milford H. "Beags" Beagle, Jr. has dedicated more than 35 years to leading, teaching, and developing people and organizations. A South Carolina native and graduate of South Carolina State University, he earned his commission as an Infantry officer in 1990 and went on to serve in leadership roles across the globe-including Afghanistan, Iraq, and Korea. A seasoned strategist and practitioner, Beagle culminated his military career as the Commanding General of the U.S. Army's Combined Arms Center and Fort Leavenworth, where he oversaw leader development, education, and training for over 200,000 service members annually. His previous commands include the 10th Mountain Division at Fort Drum, New York, and the U.S. Army Training Center at Fort Jackson, South Carolina.Known for his practical, people-centered approach to leadership, Beagle is now an author, speaker, and leadership advisor who helps organizations and individuals navigate complexity with clarity, character, and purpose. His work blends experience, reflection, and action-encouraging leaders to become the compass when the map runs out. He lives in Kansas City, Missouri, with his wife of 34 years.
