About the Author
Boyle, Dixie: - Award-winning author Dixie Boyle has worked as a fire lookout for the past thirty-seven fire seasons. She began her career as a fire spotter in New Mexico's Gila and Cibola National Forests and went on to work for the Oregon State Forestry and in the Black Hills of Wyoming and South Dakota.
