When Mr. Coolman rolls out his latest classroom invention - the Animation Machine 2.0 - middle schooler Dax thinks they're in for just another quirky science project. But when the machine brings his sketch of a fire-breathing dragon to life, things go from creative to catastrophic.
Suddenly, the class is in chaos, and Dax finds himself caught in the middle - alongside Finnley, his best friend and frequent partner in school trouble. With fire alarms blaring and the principal on speed dial, they work with Melody, a classmate who's smart, skeptical, and just as eager to survive as they are.
They'll need to work together, fast, before imagination turns into destruction - and before the dragon decides it's not done yet.
