Engines long-dormant have begun to roar. The world will never be the same.
Tsenavir is a wizard's apprentice waging a long and secretive war against Rayan tyranny. She always thought she'd be facing spear tips and arrow points, meeting soldiers with fire summoned from forest ash, but then she met the girl in the machine.
Adeline Jordan, a member of the long-dead human species, woke with a beating heart in the life support of a colossal mech - the Immortal Armor TOMBSTONE. Sena, now her only hope for a translator, is tasked with guiding her through the chaos of their worlds colliding, for TOMBSTONE isn't the only machine to reignite. For now the revolution's on hold, but once this human's out of life support and the Armor's free to claim, there'll be nothing stopping her from using it to batter down the kingdom's castle walls. She just needs to bide her time...
And not get those wires snagged around her heart in the process.
This debut novel was transcribed by a transgender transplant living out of Denver, Colorado with her cat and her two best friends. Winter began writing at the humble age of five, where she scribbled stick-man comics of questionable subject matter onto printer paper and stapled them together to form a book spine. Whatever you hold in your hands is just the next step in her literary evolution from there.
