Description
Deena McIntyre is where she's always wanted to be. Or is she? Being mayor of a small town has its drawbacks, and truth be known, she actually feels lifeless and alone. Retreating to Asheboro, North Carolina for her grandmother's funeral, she finds solace among the peaceful holiday countryside and her grandmother's priceless antiques.
Alex Nightdale owns an antique shop in town, and he owes Deena's brother a huge favor, so he's more than willing to help with her grandmother's antiques and estate. To Deena's chagrin, Alex readily takes on the role of her protector as well. And she adores his blue heeler dog named Ham. However, a beautiful girl at his shop stirs insecurities she's not used to.
When secrets are finally revealed, will Deena discover that God had a magnificent plan for her future all along? And for those who believe in God-nothing happens by coincidence.

The family has a very spoiled bluetick hound dog named Daisy. Michelle is a Registered Nurse, enjoys cooking, spending time with her family, and searching for Native American arrowheads on her property in rural North Carolina. She especially enjoys writing in memory of her mom, who like so many moms, was always her biggest fan.
