About the Author
Alvin S. Goodman, Ph.D., P.E., F.ASCE, is Professor Emeritus of Civil Engineering at Polytechnic University in Brooklyn, New York. He has authored or co-authored 75 books, technical articles, and research reports, including more than 40 referred publications.
Makarand Hastak, Ph.D., P.E, C.C.P., M.ASCE, is professor and head of the division of Construction Engineering and Management as well as professor of civil engineering at Purdue University in West Lafayette, Indiana. He serves on the Education Board of the Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering.
