In the town of Saint Laurent, up-and-coming painter Gabriel Core attends pretentious art shows, seduces women in bathroom stalls, and fixates on a television show about Vincent Face, a postmodern Don Juan whose blasé sexual conquests provide a mysterious strength to Gabriel's shaky sense of self.
