Description
POPS writers and artists offer their stories, poems and images that tell the tale of what it is to live in dangerous neighborhoods, to love people in prison and jail and those who have been deported, to feel invisible and resilient, unseen and loved, unheard and important, sad and determined.
POPS stands for pain of the prison system, and POPS the Club students know that pain but they also know the pleasures of camaraderie and the power of community, openness and kindness, mindfulness, and artistry. Theirs are the voices and visions we need to hear if we wish to understand ourselves.
