Gabriel and his sister Joanna are promising young adults, thriving as best they can in a busy city. After losing their mother, they have adapted to being on their own and not relying on their father. He had been a hustler and a drifter, usually creating more problems than good. In spite of this, Gabe and Joanna were resilient.
