The Locket: Christian Romance

Amber Richardson guards her silver locket closer than anything. During the day it is a weight around her neck and at night it doesn't leave the spot under pillow. She would die before she let anything happen to it. In fact, she's already risked her life to keep it safe before.
On the run from an abusive past Amber finds shelter in the small harbor town of Curtain Bay. But she doesn't feel safe there, not at first. She's only just beginning to trust and letting her guard down might mean getting hurt again. Instead, she spends her days inside her motel room, guarding her locket and wondering how long it's going to be until her past catches up with her. When she finally decides to take a risk by attending the Curtain Bay festival she meets Tim and it's an instant case of attraction. Amber finally feels as though she has met the love of her life. But is it all too good to be true.
Amber's worst nightmare comes true when she wakes the next morning to find her locket gone. She curses the fact she ever let her guard down. Could Tim be to blame for her missing necklace? Was she wrong to be so trusting? Or is her past about to catch up with her, with deadly consequences? Amber finally has to come to terms with what real trust is. Can she trust herself? Her new love?
