The Active Reader 4 - Paperback

This workbook is for adolescent and adults who are learning to read. It provides carefully levelled passages at a Grade 5-6 reading level. The passages focus on five themes: people, relationships, health and safety, the environment, and history. Each unit provides a passage, followed by post-reading questions, a mini-lesson that reinforces a key comprehension strategy, skill development activities, and an authentic literacy task. An answer key is located at the back of the book. This workbook corresponds to CASAS Level B and Lexile Level 640L.
