About the Author
Budding, Kirsty: - Kirsty Budding is a British-Australian playwright based in Canberra, Australia. She holds degrees in Literature and History from the Australian National University. Kirsty runs a theatre company specialising in drama education and youth theatre. Her first book, 'Paper Cuts: Comedic and Satirical Monologues for Audition or Performance' won the 2018 ACT Writing and Publishing Award for Fiction. Her new collection, 'The 100: New and Classic Monologues for Children & Young Adults' was inspired by her students and their need for quality audition monologues and monologues for performance practice. Kirsty enjoys working with young people to create new monologues and is always excited to hear from young actors and drama teachers who use her monologues in schools.
