Scions of the Last Hope - Paperback

The year is 2136. Earth has not ended, but it is ending.

The interstellar evacuation program has run for decades. Aboard a salvaged ship called the Typhon, an ensemble crew is bound for a colony world they may never see. Their orders come from the Preceptorium - a bureaucracy whose authority has outlived its purpose, and whose Resolution 7.1.13 has been quietly rewriting the meaning of survival.

A heist in a sealed archive in Juba opens onto something larger: an ancient symbol called Krubelirium, recurring across centuries and worlds; a hidden device called the Sun of Olympus, drawing power from a conspiracy older than the evacuation program itself; a confrontation in the Casemate where the architecture of the future is being decided without consent.

Scions of the Last Hope is the first volume of Broken Horizons - a literary science-fiction novel in the tradition of Lem, the Strugatsky brothers, Asimov, and Clarke. Originally written in Ukrainian and published in Spanish translation by Caligrama (Penguin Random House), this is its English-language debut.

For readers of Dmitry Glukhovsky, Arkady Martine, and Adrian Tchaikovsky. For readers who want their science fiction to think.
