Linney, Grant Douglas: - Grant Linney is an actively retired outdoor and environmental educator living in Dundas, Ontario, Canada. He holds a Master of Education in Curriculum Studies from the University of Toronto.
Grant has won several teaching and environmental awards at the municipal, provincial, and national levels. In 2025, he received the King Charles III Coronation Medal for his environmental and outdoor education advocacy. He is also a passionate photographer and video producer. All the illustrations in this book (except one, noted) are based on his photographs. He continues to give presentations on climate change and write regular newspaper opinion pieces about environmental issues for The Hamilton Spectator.
Grant still loves to run team-building exercises with intermediate and senior grades as well as write and teach about outdoor experiential education. He also enjoys biking and canoeing.
Grant insists that he retains a lifetime membership in the International Save the Pun Foundation, even though the organization no longer exists.
