Mary Fran always wanted to write children's books and her ideas finally came alive when she met Amanda Negley at the New York State Fair. Mary Fran hopes that this story brings joy to readers and that it is only the first of many Orlando the Zoo Squirrel books in the future.Negley, Amanda: - Amanda Negley was born in Cumberland, Maryland and moved to Syracuse, New York, where she lives with her mom, dad, brother, three sisters, and many pets. She graduated from homeschool in 2019 and is now pursuing graphic design at a community college. Growing up, Amanda was always doodling on her homework and sketching pictures for her family. Orlando the Zoo Squirrel is her first illustrated children's book after being discovered at the New York State Fair fine arts competition by the author, Mary Fran Love.
