In 1969, Southern California pastor Chuck Smith (Kelsey Grammer) had no answers about a shrinking congregation-until his daughter gave a fortuitous lift to hitchhiking hippie evangelical Lonnie Frisbie (Jonathan Roumie). The intersection of their fates, and that of skeptical teen/future pastor Greg Laurie (Joel Courtney) over the ensuing decade's Jesus movement, are followed in this inspirational adaptation of Laurie's memoir.
