Description
As an infant, Henrietta Hexagon was left alone in a shape sorter with no one to care for her. She was found and adopted by a family of triangles. She loves her family more than anything but she can't seem to get past the feeling that she doesn't quite fit in. One warm spring morning, Henrietta goes outside searching for hexagons. She does manage to find one but in doing so, she finds herself in a very sticky situation. She heads back home feeling down and defeated but when she arrives, everything changes This sweet story about adoption and family relationships also subtly teaches a valuable math lesson. Children will adore Henrietta and will also learn the important lesson that it doesn't matter what you look like on the outside, it's what's on the inside that counts.
About the Author
First off, thank you for your interest in my writing. Without my fans, I wouldn't be able to do what I love.: o) I have always had an extensive imagination and am still a kid at heart today! In fact, I still get crazy excited and jump up and down with each new review I get on one of my books here on amazon. This can sometimes drive my husband batty but hey, a review is a review - and as far as I'm concerned it is well worth whatever looks he may throw my way! Lol.;0) At a very young age, in daycare actually, I was able to convince some of my classmates that I had traveled to Earth by way of an enormous bubblegum slide from an undiscovered candy-coated planet. At the time I had actually convinced myself that I was telling the truth so technically, I wasn't lying to the other kids at all. I am now 34 years old and although I no longer make up tall tales about where I came from, I do make sure my characters visit some interesting places and do some pretty silly things. My imagination is still far from tame! After experiencing a personal family tragedy-turned-miracle, I have decided to pursue my lifelong dream of writing for children on top of having my own photography business and juggling my three kids and their activities.
