Cut - Paperback

I've reached my expiration date.

Not that it matters.

We're all going to die.

To Mickaela Capra, all words have flavours. Each emotion burns so fierce she carves them into her skin. The night she decides to press the blade deep enough, a stranger offers her a different kind of ending. One that makes her question everything she's learned about the apocalypse.

But truth comes with a price. Two rules carved in bone: Kill. Survive.

Because the final wars were never meant to end.

A haunting exploration of trauma and survival, for readers of Emily St. John Mandel's Station Eleven, Cormac McCarthy's The Road, and Margaret Atwood's MaddAddam.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Such an enticing, chilling, marvellous story, with a unique, fierce leading character. I fell in love with the story within a few sentences. 11/10. Absolutely amazing!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The story moves, the written structure is excellent, the verbal and inner dialogue are very real and the portrayal of emotion, conflict, attachment, love and hate that are normally pretty hard to pull off are done with mastery.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing series! I had 3 sleepless nights because I just could not put this, or the other books in the series, down until they were read from title page to references!

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was so brilliant! If I mix a bit of The Hunger Games, Helix, and The Walking Dead (minus the zombies) together I can only approximate how amazing this book is.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ WOW!! Incredible!! Visceral!! One of the best books I've read in the genre.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The strong female character is extremely rare and fresh.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Probably the best tale I have read in months.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Hands down, one of the best post-apocalyptic books I have ever read.
