Details: Art Tatum is widely acknowledged as one of the greatest Jazz pianists of all time, and was a major influence on later generations of keyboardists. He played with phenomenal facility despite being nearly blind from birth. The Art Tatum Solo Masterpieces, Vol. 1 was recorded for Pablo Records founder Norman Granz from 1953-1955. Newly reissued and enhanced with 24-bit remastering from the original analog tapes, it features seven additional selections that were not included in the original LP release.
