About the Author
Rex Gooch writes from his personal military experience as a U.S. Army helicopter pilot who served in Vietnam flying Hueys with C Troop, 3rd of the 17th Air Cavalry. In addition to his recently published book, titled Ace, his articles, published in Flight Journal magazine and the VHPA Aviator magazine, blend his first-hand knowledge and comprehension of the Vietnam War with information obtained from interviews with U.S. Army pilots, crewmembers and other military personnel.
