- Wild Ideas: Creativity from the Inside Out
Description
Wild Ideas: Creativity from the Inside Out takes you on an intimate journey through the seven stages of the creative process. All along the way, counselor, artist, and writer Cathy Wild interweaves her own personal journey as well as fascinating stories from her private practice. Discover your authentic voice while exploring timeless themes that compel creative expression--curiosity and imagination, mystery and mourning, chaos and clarity, suffering and gratitude and many more. Feel deeply supported as you unlock the mysteries of your own creative power. Beautifully conceived and written, Wild Ideas is a feast for the mind, heart, and soul.
Wild Ideas is an honest, thoughtful and exuberant examination of the many challenges that creatives face--and how those challenges can be met successfully. Highly recommended
--Eric Maisel, Coaching the Artist Within and The Van Gogh Blues
Cathy Wild is a creative spirit who has written a brave exploration of her personal journey interwoven with wise, encouraging guidance and beautifully chosen quotes. If you long to be a creator, Wild Ideas will support you in discovering and following the voice of your soul.
--Kayleen Asbo, Ph.D., cultural historian, musician, writer, and faculty at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music
About the Author
Wild, Cathy: - Cathy Wild has spent more than thirty years developing innovative approaches to healing that integrate powerful body-centered techniques with the creative process. While expanding her private practice, Cathy became a popular speaker, workshop leader, and corporate consultant. She has facilitated women's groups, writing groups, and book groups; and has taught in the extended education program at Santa Rosa Junior College. As a pioneer in somatic counseling, the expressive arts, and the field of life coaching, Cathy was featured as a creativity expert on the PBS television series, In the Prime. Today, her life's work has deepened and evolved into Body-Centered Healing-a dynamic, experiential process that supports clients on a profound personal journey of transformation. When she isn't writing, you can find Cathy painting in the studio, puttering in the garden, or baking up a batch of cookies for her friends. Cathy lives in Northern California. You can learn more about her online at cathywild.com. "Wild Ideas" is her first book.
