Ever declare bankruptcy? Don't. It sucks.... Okay, really bad joke. Anyway, after my bankruptcy, my home equity line payment took a jump into the ozone layer and I needed extra money, fast. So, I decided it was time for a roommate. After screening lots of potential candidates (let me tell you, what a real life horror story that was), I became desperate and did something I never thought I'd ever do. I rented my master suite to a vampire. I know, what you're thinking: Dracula, fangs, blood, hot, sexy, the whole package. Well, this one's different. He's the perfect renter-quiet, neat, tidy, pays on time. In fact he reminds me of my high school algebra teacher. All was going well, until things started to happen-nasty things. Apparently, not everyone likes vampires and has no intention of letting people live and let live. Especially with a human as a roommate. Reality.... Now that really bites
About the Author
Arabella Thorne started writing at age twelve because she wanted to be in the adventures of "The Man from U.N.C.L.E." Of course she loved horses, but once she'd seen Ilya Kuryakin it was all over but the typing! Luckily, her friends enjoyed her adventures, too. She knows she should have majored in English or Journalism but received a BA in Fine Arts instead. (Which was a great deal of fun to acquire.) Almost nineteen years were spent at the Los Angeles Times in many positions the last one being the film dept. desk assistant. While there, Ms. Thorne also freelanced for them; book reviews, dance photography and features on science fiction in film and TV. (OMG! She even got to interview George Lucas!) A wonderful time was had by all. Born and raised in Los Angeles, Arabella lived in the suburbs there for 43 years. But the Northridge earthquake happened and that was the end of that. Now in Glendale, AZ. she has a house and a 21-year-old daughter who has given her two grandsons. Arabella still writes because of the adventure. Her inspiration for elves comes from Peter Jackson's interpretation of Tolkien. Arabella wrote a ton of fan fiction which still resides on Fanfiction.net. And she's still in love the elves.
