Cabanatuan: A Prisoner's Perspective

The Philippines during World War II held so many incredible stories of what men had to endure, from the Bataan Death March to the Great Raid. John F. Batcheler wrote a story of his own from his time as a prisoner of war in Camp 1, Cabanatuan. He survived almost three years contained there, fully mistreated, then liberated in one of the most successful rescue missions of all time. This little book has two parts, John F. Batcheler's account from his unique perspective, followed by a chance to look at answering the question, "What do we do with the hard things from our past?"
