Description
It's the long, hot summer of 1958 and struggling private eye Johnny Davis embarks on a seemingly routine missing person case which drags him out of his comfort zone of sharp suits, bottle blondes and Tiki bars into a nightmare world of mind-altering drugs, deception and murder. From the cocktail lounges and beatnik clubs of LA to the desert resort of Palm Springs and the island paradise of Hawaii, Johnny is forced to choose between country and conscience, love and lust, and life and death.
About the Author
Strongman, Jay: - Jay Strongman is a renowned international DJ, and an established writer on popular and underground culture. Growing up in 1960s and 70s Britain, Jay was heavily influenced by the US TV shows, movies and music that permeated the country's culture at the time. That love of 20th-century Americana led him to start London's first neo-rockabilly clothing store, "Rock-A-Cha", in 1979 and to front a rockabilly band called The El-Trains. A couple of years later he started DJing in London and his pioneering mix of music (incorporating hip-hop, rockabilly, house, punk, disco and soul) resulted in him becoming one of the first DJ/popstars, working on radio and in nightclubs around the world.
