Description
A collection of original haiku (Renku) poetry and Japanese art. Sumi-E pen and ink brush work. Haiku is an ancient form of writing poetry from Japan, and is very strict in its structure. Three sections of three lines each. The first and third lines must be five syllables. The second line must be seven syllables. Haiku usually refers to nature somewhere in the poetry. This book includes all original Haiku by a living poet. There has been a huge revival of interest in this form of poetry and its beauty is recognized by the modern world. Volume II has more poetry.
About the Author
Author, playwright, and poet, Trisha Sugarek has been writing for four decades. She has enjoyed a thirty year career in theatre as an actor and director. Originally from Seattle, she has worked in theatres from coast to coast and her plays have been produced across the country and abroad. She expanded her body of work, as a playwright, to include five novels, two books of poetry, a group of children's books. Her newest project is a murder mystery series: The World of Murder. In paperback, e-Books and Audio books. Her web site is dedicated to the art of writing. Her blog appears two or three times a week and offers advice, encouragement and support to other writers.
