He had been Assistant Professor of Medicine at UC Davis, Clinical Professor of Medicine at USC, President of the Medical Staff at Huntington Hospital, Pasadena, CA President of the Southern Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the Pasadena Medical Society. He worked in private practice and Clinical research. He has published extensively including a Textbook of Gastroenterology and Hepatology and 50 scientific papers. He has been awarded with the James N. Gamble Award in 2007, among other distinctions
