Young Dunmoore - Paperback

Long before she commanded fleets, long before the Shrehari War forged her legend, Siobhan Dunmoore was just a young woman from the remote colony of New Tasman with one audacious goal: to earn a place at the Commonwealth Armed Forces Academy as a Navy midshipman. Her acceptance marked the first step on a path that would one day carry her to the highest ranks of humanity's military - culminating in her brief but historic tenure as acting Grand Admiral.

But before the legend can begin, Dunmoore must survive four demanding years at the Academy, prove herself among ambitious peers, and decide what kind of officer she wants to become. The answer should be simple. It isn't. As graduation approaches, she begins to suspect that the career she fought so hard to claim may not be the one she was meant to pursue.

Young Dunmoore reveals the formative years of the future Admiral Dunmoore, tracing the doubts, choices, and hard-won lessons that shaped her into the formidable starship captain and flag officer she would become.
