When Nightmares Crawl - Paperback

A hungry, sinister evil lies buried beneath the soil of 19th-century Bright Creek, Vermont. Such folktales mean nothing to the disgraced Dr. Laurel and his wary assistant, Marcus. In their pursuit of scientific truth, they'll discover that a shovel and a dash of arrogant curiosity are enough to awaken the vampiric hunger of Francis West. Tomb desecrated, they steal away with Francis's skull in their possession. Eternal rest is but a dream for such demons, however, and in the course of their experiments, the skull festers with unholy life before claiming the attic as its own. Its fangs thirst for sanity. Its voice is not of this world. Its influence is one of merciless intent. Tormented by dread, terror, and all manner of temptation, Marcus must battle the evil creeping into his mind while protecting the woman of his affection, Kira, from certain madness. More than horror awaits within this dark Gothic romance. Accompany Marcus as he wrestles temptation and darkness in a battle for his sanity and all he holds dear, while Kira struggles with her faith in God and affairs of the heart. Love, deception, faith, doubt, good, and evil all clash between these covers. Are you prepared to battle the nightmarish temptations crawling around in the attic? Tread lightly, because once their claws find a way into your heart, they're not likely to let go. This newest novel by emerging master of horror D. Corisis, author of "Spine Tingling Tales to Read Before Bed," will leave you both eager and terrified to turn the page.
