Twas the Night Before Jesus - The Classic Easter Story Poem
Inspired by the beloved rhythm of 'Twas the Night Before Christmas, this beautifully illustrated Keepsake Easter story poem invites readers into the final days of Jesus' earthly life, from Palm Sunday to the miracle of the Resurrection and His glorious Ascension.
Inside this book you'll find:
- A poetic, storybook retelling of Easter written in the classic anapestic meter readers know and love
- Full-color, museum-quality illustrations on every page
- Thoughtful explanations that help readers understand key moments, including Passover, the tearing of the Temple Veil, and the meaning of the New Covenant
- A gentle blessing at the end, inviting reflection, gratitude, and hope
Told in gentle, lyrical verse and paired with heirloom-style watercolor illustrations, this book walks through the events of Holy Week with reverence, clarity, and emotional depth. Readers will follow Jesus as He enters Jerusalem, shares the Passover meal with His disciples, prays in the Garden of Gethsemane, stands silent before His accusers, carries the cross, and offers His life out of love for the world.
This is more than a retelling of the Easter story. It is an invitation to slow down and truly see what happened, and why it matters.
Perfect as an Easter gift for families, children, grandchildren, pastors, teachers, and anyone who cherishes faith-filled storytelling, this book is designed to be read aloud, revisited often, and treasured for years to come.
Whether shared at home, in a classroom, or as part of an Easter tradition, 'Twas the Night Before Jesus - The Classic Easter Story Poem offers a beautiful way to celebrate the greatest story ever told.
