Following the 1922 opening of King Tutankhamun's tomb in ancient Egypt, several individuals associated with the excavation became inexplicably ill and died horrible and mysterious deaths, leading to the belief that there was a "Curse" associated with the tomb. Ancient Egypt was also the site of mass burials of literally millions of birds, fish, baboons and other animals, interred in such scrupulous manner as to defy logic. I.L. Cohen has spent over 30 years reanalyzing the structure and contents of Tut's tomb, as well as these mass burials and numerous other enigmas of ancient Egypt. Cohen's unifying solution to all of these mysteries is so startling as to warrant a reappraisal of ancient Egyptian civilization and, indeed, of the history of mankind itself.
I.L. Cohen was educated as an engineer. In the late 1970's he developed a keen interest in archaeology because it offered many challenging, unsolved problems. His earlier fieldwork at Stonehenge revealed an underlying basis for the solution of not only this enigmatic monument but also those of other equally-perplexing ancient civilizations. The author spent the next 30+ years carrying out extensive research on Egyptian archaeology. His approach has been to evaluate archaeological remnants from an engineering, technological and scientific viewpoint. Through this approach, he was able to solve many outstanding mysteries of Egyptian archaeology. He holds a Master's degree in Engineering from the University of Massachusetts-Lowell, is a Past-Vice President of the Archaeological Institute of America (LI) and has lectured widely on his research at numerous colleges and community associations.
