First it was the nightmares following the car accident, then it was the breakup with his girlfriend. After that he found he was unable to paint, or simply lacked the motivation to do so, depending on the day. Now he is facing another crisis, which started as a terrible smell, which everyone never failed to notice.

Then it was the black stuff he would cough up. Then his skin began to bubble and blister, his hair falling out in clumps. He was slowly rotting as he lived and breathed, and unless Clay can put an end to the curse, he risks rotting away like a dead man in a grave.
