Philip K. Dick is universally acknowledged as one of the most imaginative and brilliant science fiction writers of the 20th century. His novels and short stories have been adapted for the screen numerous times - "Blade Runner," "Total Recall," "Minority Report" to name a few - and he has received virtually every award bestowed upon writers, including becoming the first science fiction writer included in The Library of America series.
Collected here are some of Dick's finest short stories - published between 1951 and 1954 - most of which appeared in the pulp science fiction magazines of the era. While this collection only represents a small sampling of Dick's prodigious output (he published 44 novels and over 120 short stories during his career), we are proud to present the stories collected here in their unabridged form, just as they were originally published.
