Friend, Samuel: - Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, Samuel Friend is a multifaceted music professional. He has composed music for Cirque du Soleil, toured as a sound engineer, worked in top commercial recording studios, and is now a professor at UNLV. His passion for music has led him from self-taught drummer and "bedroom creative" to earning a BA in Music and a BS in Communications. His unique journey has culminated in a teaching approach called The Pendulum Process. As a sound engineer in both studio and live concert environments, Samuel has collaborated with a diverse array of artists across various genres, including H.E.R, Megan Thee Stallion, Celine Dion, ASIA, Lou Gramm, Bill Champlain, and many others. In addition to his work with musicians, Samuel has also made contributions to a wide variety of commercial and media projects, with his work featured during the Super Bowl and in advertisements for McDonald's, MGM, and Formula 1.
