The Hunter (The Vrix 3) - Paperback

The Tangle devours all, but he won't let it take her.

Each of Telok's scars is a story-a battle hard fought, a beast stalked and slayed, a danger overcome. They are the marks of a hunter, a warrior. A survivor. But the deepest of those wounds are unseen, dealt by the loss of friends and family he could not protect.

He cannot take anyone else into his hearts, cannot bear to have another thread severed. And he has shielded himself for many years...until Lacey.

Intelligent, confident, humorous, and beautiful, she captivated Telok from the moment he first beheld her fiery hair and sparkling green eyes. Everything inside him demands that he conquer her. That he claim her as his mate.

But Lacey is not made for his world. She is human-small, soft, and weak. And in the Tangle, she is prey.

So when she joins him on a long trek into the jungle, Telok finds himself coming undone. To guard his hearts, he must stay away. Yet to protect Lacey, he must hold her close, stoking his need for her into a frenzy.

With all the Tangle determined to take Lacey from him, can Telok keep her safe? Or will his hearts be dealt a fatal blow?
