The Host: A Political Parasite Novel - Paperback

A parasite is devouring America and the spin cycle is set to high.

Washington, D.C. wakes thirsty. One day the city is ordinary; the next, strangers sway in eerie unison, clinging too close, whispering about "spiritual thirst" as if salvation were something you could sip. The water carries more than comfort. It carries a hive mind. As hospitals burst at the seams with patients whose organs begin to mutiny, the newly sworn president, Tad P. Lurmond, refuses to let a biological apocalypse stain his victory lap. A waterborne invasion becomes an "unauthorized efficiency glitch," news cycles get drowned in missile smoke, soldiers surround municipal plants to keep citizens from discovering the truth, and wellness influencers livestream cramp cures between affiliate codes while the pain crawls coast to coast. Beneath the slapstick of power and panic, the parasite multiplies, and watches. It studies the glistening incompetence of American governance and learns faster than any news briefing.

Brutal, unsettling, and savagely funny, The Host is a nerve-scraping collision of biological horror, psychological dread, and blistering political satire. It's a survival thriller where the monster in the water may be less dangerous than the people selling it by the case. If the new species goes down, it won't be quietly. It'll be branded, monetized, and trending.
