The First of My Kind: Part I - Paperback

In a galaxy where gods determine which species ascend and which remain enslaved, humanity has been judged unworthy--their genetic potential forever locked, their bodies bound to work toxic mines until death claims them.

Atlas Adair, a simple miner in the harsh desert world of Nor, has survived the poisonous heundite mines far longer than any human should. While others wither and die, his body mysteriously purges the toxins each night. As suspicion grows among his fellow miners and their alien overlords, Atlas discovers a terrifying truth: within him stirs the very power the Archon Empire declared impossible for his kind--the awakening of the forbidden Primoris gene.

When rebellion ignites, Atlas finds himself torn between the path of liberation and the pull of ancient secrets hidden beyond the stars. His impossible existence threatens the cosmic order established when Earth fell millennia ago, challenging the divine decree that ended humanity's one-hundred-year judgment.

But as Atlas's powers grow, so too does the attention of enemies who would extinguish this dangerous anomaly. For if one human can ascend despite the gods' verdict, what might happen if others discover the path lies within?
