Swatski, Douglas J.: - Douglas J. Swatski was inspired to write in order to explore ideas about space, other life in the universe, and artificial intelligence. Originally from Lancaster, Pennsylvania, he grew up during the golden age of science fiction, inspired by authors such as Arthur C. Clarke, Frank Herbert, and later Iain Banks. His career spanned law, defense, computer programming, product management, and even venture capital. He currently lives in North Andover, Massachusetts, having moved there to pursue his passion for computer science. He was a member of the Phoenix Writers Group, which was very supportive of his writing journey.
