The Croesus Project
The Fall of the Operants
Die Reinheit has captured Europe, but the Allied psychics have escaped. When the operants corner the Allies at the Croesus Project by Lake Superior, the operant ascendancy is broken. Die Reinheit is forced to retreat to its European bastion. Now begins a race to develop technology that will achieve psychic superiority, and end the World War. Beneath the rubble of Berlin, the operants unleash a weapon that threatens to end, not just their psychic enemies, but humanity itself.
After the battle between Allard and Harkenborg at the Croesus Project, the terrible potential of psychic energy is harnessed. In May 1945, in the rubble of Berlin, facing the Die Reinheit zealots, it is the unity of free psychism that gives humanity a fighting chance.
The Croesus Project is the third novel in the Operant Saga, a millennia and galaxy-spanning series in which psychic humanity must fight itself before it faces an even greater threat.
