That's Life: Check It Out - Book Two is a heartfelt collection of poetry and personal reflections from Troy Brusven, exploring faith, love, loss, freedom, relationships, personal struggles, and the many unexpected moments that shape a life.
Through short, direct poems and stories, Troy reflects on his relationship with God, the meaning of faith, the importance of love, and the experiences that have left lasting impressions on him. Some pieces are spiritual and contemplative, while others are humorous, personal, dramatic, or drawn from difficult moments.
The collection explores everything from Christmas, Thanksgiving, and the beauty of nature to memories of family, relationships, addiction, personal challenges, and encounters that changed the course of a moment. Poems such as "Imagine When We Meet," "He Cares More," "Final Rest," and "Will We Live" reflect deeply on faith, death, Heaven, forgiveness, and the promise of eternal life.
Other pieces bring the reader into more personal and unexpected experiences, including stories involving friendship, addiction, a house fire, conflict, and difficult encounters.
The result is an unconventional and deeply personal collection that does not attempt to tell just one story. Instead, it brings together many moments, emotions, beliefs, memories, and observations from one person's journey through life.
That's Life: Check It Out - Book Two is for readers who enjoy personal poetry, Christian and inspirational reflections, and authentic writing that explores the beauty, difficulty, humor, faith, and unpredictability of everyday life.
