A scientist named Harvey Johnson has been given command of the most powerful fleet in existence. With him he has a small group of research scientists which includes Linda, the love of his life, a crack platoon of special troops and three aliens they picked up on the way. Given the tools but no guidebook, they receive assignments from Joth, an energy being that claims to be the creator, they find themselves facing space fleets and beings they thought only existed in mythology, including a mysterious 'adversary' that calls all the shots from the other side.
