#"Overcoming" Trials-Tribulations-Tragedies" in rhyme is Pat MorrellDonnelly's fourteenth book to publish. The book reveals Pat's life through her poetry. Pat published her first book in 2009 at the age of eighty. The poems in this book are among the over twenty-five-hundred poems Pat has written through the years. Most of the poems in this book Pat wrote in the 1980's and 1990's. Pat's goal has been to get all her poems into books before she passes away. She feels God gave her the ability to write poetry for a reasonthat she would share her work. Pat's poems are derived from her "trials, tribulations and tragedies" she suffered over her ninety-seven years on this earth. Most poems reveal difficulties and problems Pat was living through at the time. Some of Pat's losses come through in her poetry. Her greatest loss was the death of her beautiful mother, at age forty-five, killed by a drunk driver. Her father and nine year old sister were critically injured, and for a time not sure if they would survive. Also, the loss of her sister, and only brother to cancer. There were financial losses that took their toll, from which she never recovered. The titles of some of the poems in this book are "About Life," "Armor of Strength," "Become A Light," "Be Joyful," "Consequences," "Don't Wait," "Final Page," "Glorious Peace," "Keep Smiling," "Life's Journey," "Perfect Garden," "Stepping Stones," "Time's Side," and "Vicissitudes." No matter losses and troubles in life-one can always find much for which to be thankful. We should count our blessings every day and be grateful for each new day we are blessed to know.
