Nacido en Ciudad de México hace cuarenta y tres años, Gerardo Sámano Córdova estudió cine en el Ithaca College, trabajó como diseñador gráfico para un diseñador neoyorquino, vivió la vida bohemia en Berlín y durante varios años fue publicista en la capital de su país natal. Todo esto antes de trasladarse a Míchigan a estudiar escritura creativa. En la actualidad Sámano es escritor residente en la Universidad de Fordham, en Nueva York, y está ultimando su segunda novela. Monstrilio, su debut narrativo, ya se ha traducido a una decena de idiomas.
Born in Mexico City forty-three years ago, Gerardo Sámano Córdova studied film at Ithaca College, worked as a graphic designer for a New York designer, lived a bohemian life in Berlin, and spent several years as a publicist in the capital of his home country. All this before moving to Michigan to study creative writing. Currently, Sámano is a writer-in-residence at Fordham University in New York and is finishing his second novel. Monstrilio, his debut work, has already been translated into a dozen languages.
