This release is part of a 40-title Japanese fusion album reissue series drawn from Victor labels including VICTOR, FLYING DOG, INVITATION, FLYING DISK, and JVC, issued in three waves of 13 titles on July 20, 14 titles on August 24, and 13 titles on September 21. Supervised by former ADLIB editor-in-chief Sumio Matsushita and produced in full collaboration with ADLIB magazine, the series features many hard-to-find titles, including out-of-print works and first CD releases, complete reprints of the original LP liner notes, new liner notes by contributors including Sumio Matsushita, Hisakazu Kanazawa, Masayuki Baba, and Fumiaki Kohama, a reversible obi with the original LP obi reproduced on the reverse side, a 3P case, and a UHQCD (Ultimate Hi Quality CD). Sound producer Hideo Takada supervised the project, with the latest remastering from the original master tapes using enhanced K2HD PRO mastering technology. This title is Masayoshi Takanaka's only guitar instrumental album for Victor, originally released in 1978, and includes the rare original track Rainbow and an alternate version of Blue Curacao, available only on this album.
