I am an Australian girl.

I thought my life would be ordinary.

Other surprises have left me chastened and gasping, with a newly birthed compassion and empathy for those who have experienced similar.

From Melbourne to Vancouver, Chicago to Beverly Farms, Salem to Providence to Fall River, Sydney to California, and back to Melbourne, life has brought to me, gifts of love.

A solo drive across the USA post-9/11 is part of the warp and weft of my life, as I have begun again and again to learn the unforced rhythms of grace.

Richards, Jillian: - Jillian Richards was born and educated in Melbourne, Australia. She was trained as a teacher of hearing impaired children, working in that field for 12 years. She moved to Canada and the USA for what was to be one year. It became ten. Three sons were born in the USA. One is buried there. Back in Australia, she lived and worked in Sydney for ten years. Suddenly divorced after 27 years of marriage, she began a new career by invitation. Based in Orange County, California for six years, she travelled extensively across the USA and back and forth to Australia.
