BEST INDIE BOOK AWARD WINNER(R) - "A colorful and chaotic tale of success and betrayal" (Kirkus Reviews, featured review) and a fierce, genre-bending survival guide for creatives chasing success-and the demons that come with it.

Killa is a suspense-filled, hip-hop remix of Gaston Leroux's The Phantom of the Opera, told in the style of an epic rap.

It's the chance of a lifetime...

...if it doesn't cut Melody's short.

Can she achieve her dream and survive?

1999. As the millennium draws to a close in Miami's vibrant rap scene, gifted emcee Apocalypse grows weary of being eclipsed by his associate, the formidable King Heavy. A desperate bid for independence results in a brutal reckoning, secretly staining the city's hip-hop history.

Fast-forward seventeen years and meet Melody, nicknamed 'Mel'. Mourning her grandmother and juggling double shifts in a dead-end Central Florida hotel, Mel harbors dreams woven with rhythm and rhyme. When whispers of a rap contest echo through Mel's social, hosted by none other than her idol, King Heavy, she senses opportunity knocking amidst the booming beats of the city's haunted Valdemar nightclub.

Immerse yourself in a tale that blurs the line between ambition and survival, with echoes of the past reverberating in the present. As Mel steps onto the stage, she doesn't just face her opponents-she confronts a spectral presence, a chilling reminder of the blood-stained legacy of Miami's underground scene.
