Our hero Chris Alan has been in some tight situations to be sure. Hostile alien invasion, daring rescues of his friends, and trials by the insane kidnapper. Attempts to strong-arm or sweet-talk Chris and his friends to relent in their quest for independence rain down on them from the US government nonstop.

Amidst unbearable stresses and endless threats, love is, as it tends to, finding a way. Chris and Natalie are cementing their relationship. And the Spokane Group begins producing working alien cloned technology to help humans' recovery. But old and petty jealousies make helping the world a dangerous proposition. No good deed, it seems, will be going unpunished. Because Chris is never going to catch a break, to top off his barrel-of-woe, Visquisor arrives back on the scene to destroy the entire solar system. He really holds on to a grudge, it would seem.
