Durango doesn't tremble. Until it does.
At 8:20 on an ordinary October morning, the earth beneath a hundred-year-old building on Calle Constitución shakes for exactly three seconds - and seven strangers, crammed into an old elevator, become trapped between floors.
An insurance salesman. An unfaithful wife. A surgeon carrying a secret in a manila envelope. A nurse who took hush money. An accountant fleeing with three million pesos. A husband looking for his missing wife. And a young man who, thirty minutes earlier, had been standing on a rooftop deciding whether to jump.
When the elevator's dead intercom crackles to life with a voice that shouldn't exist - a voice that already knows exactly who they are and exactly what they've done - the seven realize the tremor didn't trap them.
It delivered them.
Something has been feeding in that shaft for over a century, patient and precise, choosing its meals with the care of a connoisseur: guilt, aged and unloved, is the only thing it has ever truly craved. And on this particular morning, it finally has enough people in one box to feast properly.
One by one, the truth comes out. One by one, the strangers stop being strangers. And one by one, the elevator takes what it came for.
FLOOR 3 is a claustrophobic psychological thriller about the secrets we bury, the debts we think we've escaped, and the terrible arithmetic of guilt - where the only way out of the box is to survive what's inside yourself.
Three seconds can change everything.
