Lizzette Delgado, was born in Puerto Rico in March 1966. She studied Social Science with an emphasis in Criminology. After receiving her Bachelors Degree in Art of Social Science she went on to work as a social worker and counselor. About five years later, with the belief that education was her calling she enrolled at Eastern University in PA to acquire her Masters Degree in Multi-cultural Education. During this time she was working as a Bi-lingual teacher in the school district of Philadelphia. She received two accommodations one in 2004 and the other in 2005 for her commitment and contribution far beyond expectations in the Philadelphia School community in the study of diverse American Culture. Currently she is residing in Philadelphia with her family and achieving her dream of starting her own company, RD HomeCare Inc., which offers a variety of services that promote a better quality of life for children and their families. Working with children in their natural environment while applying early intervention services is what Lizzette continues to do today. In addition to her devotion to children and children's books, she has always been and will remain and avid poetry writer.
