The ever expanding Earth Republic has set its sights on the distant planet of Talia II. Captain Merrick, in command of the Vanguard, has been tasked with securing the planet and making sure it's safe for the great colony ship headed towards it. He and most of the other psychics aboard the Vanguard have a bad feeling that something horrible awaits them there.
