Description
First seen as a TV play by JP Miller, Blake Edwards' searing film features Jack Lemmon as Joe Clay, a successful adman who meets pretty Kirsten Arnesen (Lee Remick) at a party. The two marry and have a child, but their lives spiral downward when they begin taking to the bottle too much.
